Marcom is the creatively-led global team that oversees Apple’s consumer facing marketing. We ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications across all medias and platforms. Every day, hundreds of millions of Apple customers around the world interact with our products. We drive the strategy and creative work that provide both new and existing customers with simple, engaging and inspiring marketing experiences. The role of the Connection Strategist is to help lead work that connects Apple closer with customers across online and offline platforms. We’re looking for an expert who has extensive experience in leading marketing and experience strategies across China’s complex media and commerce landscape. Working with cross-functional teams, this individual will develop insights and approaches that will elevate the experience across the entire customer journey.
Description
You will be joining a team of world-class strategists both in Greater China and at Apple Worldwide, who share a common goal of working with some of the best creative and marketing talent in the world. Our role is to provide insights, knowledge, and inspiration to cultural the very best marketing communications work that only Apple can, and should, deliver. Our role as Strategists at Apple is not to invent truths. It’s to uncover the truth with extreme rigor and communicate them in the most inspiring ways possible. * Develop insightful, data-backed, and rigorous strategic plans that inspire the best thinking and work possible. * Lead strategic conversations that help rethink and reimagine the way we connect closer with our current and future customers across different platforms. * Build relationships and garner insights from different people in a variety of different groups within Apple. * Work closely and effectively with the best creative and marketing talent in world. * React quickly to new information, opinions, and direction.
- 8+ years of business and brand strategy, data analysis, insights and research, media and digital communications planning experience in global and regional business, and within this, demonstrated extensive experience in integrated comms planning.
- Deep understanding of China’s online and offline media and commerce platforms. Fluent in Mandarin and English is required, both spoken and written
Preferred Qualifications
- Self-motivated, flexible individual with excellent written and oral communication skills (presenting, selling, lobbying, etc.).
- Must be a customer-centric thinker and have a proven track-record designing journey grounded in strong insights.
- Work effectively with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure that the digital experience meets the needs of both the audience and the business.
- Have a keen sense of culture, creativity, business, and innovation.
- Possess a track record of leading strategic conversations with a vast number of people in different lines of business.
- Have experience creating effective work relationships with key partners outside of the Marketing function.
- Has phenomenal writing skills, visual storytelling skills, and presentation skills.
