Job Description Summary:
The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for implementing the digital marketing strategy in China to achieve key business objectives through brand building, stakeholder engagement and demand generation in a holistic manner. This position will provide support to design and manage relevant marketing campaigns utilizing owned and paid digital channels; in addition, add value of customer engagement, community building, and data analytics to drive business growth.
This position will work in close partnership with China Marketing team and Global MCX team to contribute to the mission of CFA Institute. The position will be headquartered in Beijing, China and be supported by the Senior Marketing Manager in China.
Job Description:
As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you will have the opportunity to:

Design and execute organic marketing campaigns and customer engagement activities through channels/platforms within China's Digital Ecosystem, working with cross-functional teams as well as external agencies to track progress and keep optimizing performance for maximum ROI, especially on leads generation and conversion leveraging We Com.

Manage content development and channel operation for Weibo, We Chat (service accounts, mini-program, and Channels), Zhihu, and other key digital channels including website, email, SMS, SEO/SEM, and digital advertising, to execute local/global marketing strategy and contribute to achieving business goals in partnership with internal teams and external vendors/partners.

Support the development of integrated marketing plans across B2B/B2C marketing and other business teams, including marketing calendar management, process and timeline management, performance tracking and reporting, etc.

Analyze content & channel performance across digital touchpoints including web, search, social media, SMS, and email to optimize customer experience and campaign results.

Support external vendor management and project management for advertising campaigns and other marketing initiatives.

Generate consumer insights, stay on top of industry trends, and implement new innovative tools through research, social listening, and competitive analysis while establishing best practices.

Provide operational support (like contracting and managing the internal systems) for the China MCX team.
The skills and experiences needed for the role are:
-
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, marketing operation, or business development.
-
Experience in Mar Tech solutions such as EDM platforms, social media management tools, marketing automation systems, etc. is preferred.
-
Active user and enthusiastic proponent of leading social media channels such as Sina Weibo, We Chat Channels, RED (Xiaohongshu), Bilibili, etc.

Native in spoken Mandarin Chinese and written Chinese is required.
-
Written and spoken fluency in English is required. Knowledge of additional Asian languages is a plus.

Superior writing and grammatical skills along with a strong editorial voice.

Solid understanding of financial markets and a strong interest in finance.

Excellent project management, organizational, and time-management skills.
-
Flexibility in competently juggling competing priorities and changing expectations.
-
A strong team player and strong interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, and grace under pressure.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and entrepreneurial.

Must demonstrate outstanding stewardship and relationship-building/management skills to expand the mission of CFA Institute.

Ability to use standard office software such as Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook.

Global cultural orientation and working experience are highly desirable.
