The Electric Machine Design Engineer will be tasked with the full life cycle, from design to industrialisation of our high speed electric machines, and push the state of the art in efficiency, compactness, cost and thermal design.
Your responsibility will include ownership of the electromagnetic design and optimisation of the e Machine topology, and the development and qualification from concept to serial introduction. You will work closely with our simulation experts, product line integration engineers, our Inverter Design & Systems experts and our advanced manufacturing experts to drive new product development.
Interact with the system engineer to develop and own the motor specifications
Optimize the design of the machine to meet performance, packaging, robustness and cost targets – Interact with our advanced
manufacturing experts and/or our suppliers.
o In coordination with Product line integration and Supplier quality engineer, mature the electric machine design until serial introduction (Drawings, DFMEA, functional and durability testing, product specification, quality inspection …)
REQUIRED BACKGROUND
Ph D in electrical engineering or Master
Education in Electrical Machines and Appliances, Electrical Engineering, automation or other related major
Strong understanding of Electromagnetic 2D/3D simulation knowhow, good at any one of Maxwell, Jmag, Motor CAD…, familiar with matlab (be able to build script)
An very appreciation for thermal and structural simulation understanding and skills
Knowledge of manufacturing process of electric machines
