About BASIS International & Bilingual Schools Chengdu
BASIS International & Bilingual Schools Chengdu opened in 2022 and serves students in Grades Pre-K – 11, with courses eventually being offered through Grade 12 and a capacity of over 1,800 students. This beautiful campus is our first to house both an international and bilingual curriculum in one location. Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan province—home to famous historic sites, cuisine, and culture. Our Primary School teachers adopt a collaborative, co-teaching approach to enhance student engagement and learning opportunities. The Subject Expert Teacher (SET) assumes the lead in delivering engaging, subject-specific learning experiences, while the Learning Enhancement Teacher (LET) ensures individual student understanding. As a Math & Science Subject Expert Teacher, you stimulate and encourage students' natural curiosity while teaching foundational math and science concepts. You teach fundamental concepts, incorporating practical uses for math and science, such as making change or how we all use the scientific method in our daily life.

You will also:

• Foster meaningful relationships with each student to ensure a personalized and successful learning trajectory

Work Experience

Who We’re Looking For

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in your subject area (Elementary and Early Education degrees are also highly valued for Pre-K through Grade 5).
• Experience: At least two years as the lead teacher in a classroom, a requirement for obtaining a working visa.
