Morgan Stanley Bank International (China) Ltd. (MSBIC) is a locally incorporated foreign bank in Zhuhai, China with a branch in Beijing and is primarily engaged in bond and FX trading, lending, loan syndication, and corporate deposit taking. MSBIC focuses on providing unique domestic and cross-border solutions to large corporations and institutions in China. In preparation for the Bank’s new phase of development as it seeks to take advantage of the upcoming market and product liberalization and the Bank’s planned expansion into derivatives businesses.

Job responsibilities
- To cover credit-related legal entity governance, regulatory reporting and regulatory interaction as senior credit risk officer of the bank
- To work closely with Sales/Traders/Deal Teams and Asia Pacific regional credit to structure, review and approve credit transactions booked in the bank consistent with Firm risk underwriting standard.
- To conduct client calls, perform independent research and credit due diligence, write credit reviews to establish credit rating of Chinese counterparties where MS has / will have loan/derivative risk exposure, according to MS risk standard.
- To review and approve loan review memos for internal credit signoff/approvals.
- To review and approve Chinese counterparties' onshore derivatives transactions and prepare credit review for active/potential counterparties while assigning credit limits.
- To review and approve loan/derivative documentation with counterparties to ensure strong credit term protection.
- To conduct annual reviews and monitor portfolio quality on an ongoing basis and recommend rating actions/asset classifications etc.
- To co-ordinate and communicate with regional credit function on China onshore market intelligence and local development strategy.
- To support credit risk related regulatory requests and policy documents for MSBIC.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred) with minimum 8-10 years of credit analysis experience in the financial services industry
- Familiar with China regulatory regime on commercial banks and credit-related regulatory requirements for internal policies, procedures and reg reporting
- Corporate focused; loan / derivative experience essential; Strong credit analysis skills and extensive industry knowledge about Chinese corps
- China credit risk experience necessary and preferred with existing delegated credit authority
- Understanding and familiar with loan and derivative documents (ISDA/CSA/NAFMII/SAC)
- English and Mandarin language skills essential
