This position primary focus is to develop, test and implement packaging designs as a part of new product development process and also review and improve existing packaging designs in line with company´s cost-efficient and sustainability goal. This position develops test standards and guidelines for developing packaging solutions for the company´s products.

Your role:
1. Oversee and manage complete packaging development process, including the creation of packaging designs, prototype development, and performance testing.
2. Analyze engineering drawings and specifications of product to determine physical characteristics of item, special handling, environmental and safety requirements, and types of materials required for packaging. Specify and recommend efficiency tools and test methods to develop and validate packaging designs.
3. Identify and implement cost saving initiatives related to packaging materials, labor, efficiency, transportation, and storage. Establish work measurement programs and consult with purchasing and suppliers to determine costs and feasibility of producing proposed packaging.
4. Troubleshoot new and existing packaging problems involving designs, materials and processes and provide creative, timely, and cost-effective solutions.
5. Work proactively with finding packaging alternatives that ensures the products quality during transportation from supplier to customer.
6. Make sure that our packaging enables us to transport products in a logistically efficient way.

7. Assist in production problem solving as it relates to the functionality of current or new packaging.
8. Always be on the lookout for new sustainable materials, production methods and cost-efficient packaging designs.

You're the right fit if:

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency at the intermediate to experienced level in CAD and MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project) and Adobe drawing skills
• Excellent communication skills in addition to strong teamwork, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Strong initiative and the ability to be self-directed in completing tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Business fluency in English
