JOB PURPOSE
Provide in-depth technical expertise within the organization by conducting, leading and reviewing audits. These audits assess the organization’s internal controls, risk management and governance processes (as designed, owned and operated by management). The objective is to ensure these processes function as intended and align with globally globally accepted operations and audit standards. Furthermore, to gain and implement process based on the significant substantive expertise and audit experience.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Effectively lead and manage scheduled audits, which entails; leading assigned staff, managing pre-thru-post audit communications, assigns audit activities to staff and is responsible to oversee and review the execution thereof, continuously assess risks, discuss audit findings with audit partners, prepares closing materials, prepares draft and final audit reports and completes the audit staff 360-degree feedback process.
• As assigned, will perform the role of Audit Reviewer on several engagements to ensure audits (as mentioned in previous item) are executed in accordance to IA process and methodology.
• Coordinate with all IA Departments to maintain IA charter, policy, procedures, methodology, standards, audit programs, KPI’s, reports, and etc.
• Manage and develop the annual audit plan and risk ranking for the audit entities; maintains an up to date (max one year) inventory of auditable units within functional scope.
• Act as a focal point (subject matter expert) with relation to providing audit (technical) opinion of the completeness of auditee management actions to close audit findings.
• Analyze and evaluate the relevant data, risk ranking of the auditable units that were collected from global offices, plants and facilities.
• Prepare Internal Audit advice and regular/ad-hoc audit reports.
• Develops basis and utilization of data and visual data analytics approach, along with continuous control auditing techniques for enhancing the governance, risk management and control within SABIC.
• Provide effective and efficient methods by constantly benchmarking against best practices, technology and updated IA standards.
• Ensure IA complies with the IIA Standards and adopts best practices in its activities.
• Direct audit teams in the areas of audit methodology, utilization of data analytics as well as data mining process.
• Assist in managing the Internal Audit Continuous Professional Development programs for the IA staff competencies.
• Develop and monitor the quality assurance and improvement programs for the internal audit activities such as the internal audit self-assessments (at least once a year) and the external quality assessments (at least once in five years).
• Report the findings from QAIP exercise to the Senior Management.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Degree qualification in Finance/Accounting/Engineering/IT.
• Professional audit relevant certification (CIA, CISA, SOCPA, CPA, CA, BEAC) will be an added advantage.
• At least 10 years’ experience in large/global business and/or functional areas in global 500 companies;
  • Prior experience, 4 years in Internal/external audit and 3 years in Audit Team Lead is preferred.
• Proficiency in governance, risk management and internal control system, as well as IIA Standards.
• Proficiency in analytical, communication, presentation, reporting, interpersonal and planning skills.
• Excellent command of English;
• High exposure on Corporate Governance, Risk Management and Internal Control Systems.
• Excellent knowledge on the IIA Standards;
• Demonstrated expertise in assigned areas, with good knowledge in remaining areas (operations, IT, finance and administration, and expertise group).
• Have moderate skills and knowledge on Special and Forensics Investigation;
• High commitment to work ethic and integrity;
• Excellent negotiations skills and skills in IT controls over business and computer processes
• Effectively manages teams during audits and projects and is an excellent team player
