We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.
Business: Wholesale Technology

Principal responsibilities

• Analysis, Design, develop and implement IT solutions to meet business requirements Analyzes project requirements and produce system design
• Ensure a high quality standard of deliverables according to HSBC standards and best practices
• Perform unit testing on establish automated testing framework
• Identify and troubleshoot coding issue to ensure projects deliver with high quality
• Setup Dev Ops pipeline and promote Dev Ops practice to the team
• Alignment with project managers to track key deliverables
• Act as Intermediate Developer for agile development methodology
• Work closely with global and regional stakeholders on projects delivery
• Continuously upgrading and learning various technologies / applications required for successful project delivery through continuous learning and training

Requirements

• A university graduate with degree in computer science or a related discipline
• Effective communication skills in written English
• Proactive and attention to detail. Sense of urgency to solve problems and propose solutions
• Able to work independently and effectively under pressure
• Open-minded, reliable and independent
• Minimum 3 years of work experience specifically in frontend / backend development, system integration / migration.
• Working experience on Java and Spring framework. Experience on Spring Boot and Spring Cloud is a plus
• Working experience on Web development with HTML5, CSS, Java Script. Experience on Node.js and React is a plus
• Working experience on relational database, especially Oracle. Experience on No SQL database design is a plus
• Experience on CI, CD - tools such as Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, Git, Git Hub, Sonar Qube, Ansible
• Familiar with Test automation tools eg. JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber
• Experience on Dev Ops processes and Agile methodologies – Scrum, Kanban
