Position Name: Insurance Verification Specialist
Location: Medellin, Colombia
English Level: C1 - C2
Schedule:
7:00 AM - 5:00 PM until November.
8:00 AM 6:00 PM from November to March.
On March it will switch back to 7:00 AM - 05:00 PM.
Experience:
- Proven experience in insurance verification and medical billing
- Knowledge of LCD and medical coverage policies
- Familiarity with HCPCS, ICD-10, billing modifiers and Medicare and applicable insurance regulations

Responsabilities:
- Manage accounts receivable efficiently by contacting insurance carriers to address claim denials and ensure timely payment processing.
-Knowledgeable on insurance coverage and eligibility of benefits for patients.
- Review fee schedules to ensure proper allowable amounts were paid in accordance with applicable reimbursement for medicare, medicaid, or commercial fee schedules.
-Review and process medical documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Handle medical billing tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with HCPCS, ICD-10, and Medicare guidelines
- Ensure proper coding of medical procedures
- Collaborate with appropriate staff to resolve insurance-related issues
