We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Accountant to join our team.
What you will be doing
He or She will assist in the finance function for STC Colombia. This includes managing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance within country regulations. This role involves maintaining payroll records, preparing reports, collaborating with Human Resources to support overall payroll operations, and any other responsibilities based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the end-to-end payroll process for employees, ensuring timely and accurate payroll calculations.
• Review and process employee time, attendance, and leave.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of payroll-related tax filings and reports.
• Collaborate with finance to reconcile payroll accounts and assist with budget preparation.
• Address payroll inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance of labor laws and payroll regulations; Provide support during audits and respond to inquiries from external auditors.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration is a plus.
• 2-5 years’ general accounting experience, preferably in multinational or industry-specific corporation.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, organizations skills, and attention to detail.
• Previous payroll experience is required.
• An experienced user of ERP systems (Oracle experience preferred) and Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Word.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Spanish and English.
