Position Summary:

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a strong Project Lead to join our Global Shared Services Program Management Office (PMO). In this role, you will partner with various members of the organization, as well as business unit and functional partners, to provide project management support on transformational projects.
As the Project Lead you will be responsible for the coordination of key stakeholders and efforts required for a successful project execution. You will also take lead on tracking progress details such as project timelines, risks and deliverables and a cadence for reviewing this progress with various levels of leadership at regular intervals. You will lead the creation of an integrated project plan and facilitate the management of it. You will need to be a top influencer and be agile and adaptable. Key success criteria will focus on the candidate’s ability to articulate case for change and business benefits, facilitating proper design workshops, on-time delivery, milestone-based plans and the necessary accountability structure for success, which will include resources, standard playbook and RACI structure.

Specific Responsibilities:

Provide input to and update program roadmaps.
Manage requirements intake, prioritization, execution sequencing & project close-out.
Effectively integrate with project resources & leadership, collaborating with the Project Owner to lead meetings and facilitate working sessions with project team.
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of project execution.
Report progress, upcoming milestones, risks and mitigations tailored to intended audience(s).
Identify interdependencies and sequencing, ensuring stakeholder alignment.
Track program schedule, budget, quality and status, serving as main point of contact.
Utilize change management practices for successful project delivery across the organization.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

>4 years in large multi-national Company (preferably diversified US / public company)
Demonstrated experience & leadership progression in a global, mid to large size corporation
Project management and / or Lean Six Sigma certification helpful to role
Order-To-Cash background a plus
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business management, engineering or closely related field
Analytical Skills: Be able to quickly get to the key messages & lead the path for action
Effectively manage multiple deliverables and priorities & meet deadlines
Experience with process mapping & understanding inefficiencies
High level of self-confidence | Run the rest of the “plays” after given the general direction
Ability to deal with ambiguity & develop alternative scenarios and options
Communication: Clear & engaging | Comfort operating in a heavily matrixed organization
Ability to foresee the threats to success & create contingency plans for risk mitigation
Comfort with stretch goals, acting fast & taking calculated risks with a bias toward execution
Confidence with tactful debating toward getting to the right solutions
Strong presentation skills, especially with crafting executive level updates articulately
