Senior Project Manager

Project overview: The App Engineering organization covers the development of distinct product versions for approximately a dozen airline customers. Some are large strategic customers where most of the product development is centered. Some are smaller and largely just being maintained with minimal product investment. The App Engineering teams span Spain, Colombia and the Philippines. This group overall is over 175 people and has fewer than 5 proven engineering people leaders to organize themselves.
  • Position overview: Possesses technical expertise to guide and lead the team toward achieving the desired goals. Also has experience defining and implementing software development lifecycle processes and ensures proper execution in adherence to those processes and engineering best practices.
  • Engineering leadership must be fluent in English and Spanish. All project management and status updates must be provided in English. Leaders must have existing experience with how and when to communicate upwards when there are issues on delivery. They must know how to provide written and verbal updates to other teams and leaders in a structured and timely manner.

  • Responsibilities: Define, implement, and ensure adherence to agile development processes and best practices
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, with all project updates provided in English.
  • Identify and escalate delivery issues to leadership, providing clear and timely updates
  • Keep the team motivated, aligned, and focused on project goals

  • Requirements: From 3 to 5+ years in software development project management experience
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or other project management methodologies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams
  • Basic technical expertise understanding of software development processes, cloud services, or IT systems
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

  • Nice to have: Project management certifications (PMP, Scrum Master)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced tech environment
