SAP Netweaver / ABAP Specialist - Remote in Colombia


Main Activities / Responsibilities:

  • Align IT solutions to the goals of Lafarge Holcim’s lines of business.
  • Proactively offer solutions and enhancements which leverage best practices while managing enterprise expectations.
  • Consider all product variations across current product lines, and meet the most variants possible, in the most cost effective manner.
  • Ensure that solutions are in compliance with Group and Regional internal control procedures and security policy.
  • Capability to quickly sketch a design complex concept and estimate effort based on business requirements.
  • Responsibility for gate keeping, optimizing system performance and avoiding system design deficiencies relating to the overall application landscape.
  • Leading collaborative design discussions with key stakeholders across IT and business to ensure design is consistent, accurate, flexible and scalable.
  • Responsible for providing expertise and approvals during the development phase, test planning, and ensure solutions meet the overall design requirements for the application landscape.
  • Following all established design standards and suggesting improvements when they are needed.
  • Providing technical support to regional and global initiatives and projects.
  • Provide technical user support.
  • Provide support to other colleagues in terms of technical/functional expertise with the assigned business processes.
  • Oversee all the technical configuration and development.
  • Approves all technical functional design documents, after complete and full review.

Job Scope:
  • Portfolio of all 25-30 applications integrating with ECC
  • IT Projects: Involvement in nearly all ITSC projects and changes related to application implementation,
enhancement or integration. Between 10-20 mid to large size projects per year.


Knowledge, Experience and Competencies:
Qualifications:
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • ITIL Service Management Certification is desired.
  • SAP ABAP Development certification is desired.
Required Experience:
  • Minimum 6 years experience in ABAP, ABAP Object, ABAP Proxy, ABAP Web Dynpro, SAP
Forms, Sapscript, SAP Workflow, ALE, IDOC, BADI Enhancement and Gui XT.

Desired Experience:
  • Experience in programming languages (JAVA, Phyton)
  • Experience in SAP PI 7.X
  • Experience in SAP Functional Modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, PM, PS, QM, etc.)
  • Experience with SAP Gateway

Specialized Technical Skills:
Required skills:
  • Maintain a high level of awareness of all current SAP applications and solutions.
  • Keen understanding of key concepts and technologies related to integrating SAP with 3rd party software and middleware technologies.
  • Experience with J2EE, Java Web Dynpro and SAP Enterprise Portal 7.0+
  • Experience with System Landscape Directory, Integration Repository, Integration Directory and the Runtime Workbench.
  • Knowledge of Floor Plan Manager, LDAP, Web Page Composer, easy WCM.
  • Proficient understanding of SAP SD, MM, HR, PP, PM, PS and FICO modules.
  • Understanding of SAP Security, Roles and Profiles.
  • Knowledge of ABAP programming language is mandatory.
  • Cooperatively work with Architecture, Project team and key business stakeholders to adapt to the changing strategies, funding decisions, risks, and organizational direction. Ability to determine when and how to modify a selected approach and assess impacts of change on design.
  • Able to evaluate project complexity, constraints, risks and dependencies and effectively relay suitable information to key stakeholders.
  • Understanding of IT service delivery and IT Service Management concepts and procedures.

  • SAP Cloud Platform programing

Languages:
  • English required (written & spoken)
  • Spanish required (written & spoken)
  • Advanced Portugues desired (written & spoken)
  • Advanced French (Canadian) desired (written & spoken)


Mobility requirements: (time spent travelling internationally, nationally etc.).
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9 to 6 or from 8 to 5 to be determined.
