• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
• Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
• Relevant experience in data analysis, research, experimentation, business intelligence and data warehousing tools, or comparable consumer analytics solutions.
• Skills using SQL, ETL and databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets; query tuning, data modeling.
• Excel power user; able to create dynamic dashboards while mindful of processing constraints, leveraging advanced formulas and Excel model best practices to provide deep and large scale analysis and metrics creation on the fly.

Key job responsibilities
We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join our Capacity Planning team. You’ll work cross-functionally with Digital Supply chain Operations, Partner Operations, Program teams, and Product / Tech to ensure we have the right number of people when and where we need them.

A successful candidate will:
Identify, develop, and execute data analysis to uncover areas of business opportunity.

Design and execute analyses, incl. data mining by utilizing available analysis tools, interpret the results and develop recommendations and actionable steps based on the learning.

Shaping and informing key metrics and indicators by which our department and products will assess their performance.

Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources and know how, when and which data sources to use.

Deep dive into data sets to answer key business questions using AWS solutions such as Quick Sight, Redshift, and custom tools with SQL and other data manipulation languages.
