Job Description

You'll develop and manage comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs for our facility, ensuring we meet all legal standards. Your role involves analyzing working conditions and their impact on both the environment and employee health. Additionally, you'll provide technical support as needed and report directly to the EHS Coordinator.

Your role

• Handles straightforward health and safety issues, including comprehensive risk assessments for both operational and administrative areas.
  
• Offers technical expertise and support as needed.
  
• Enhances safety protocols through detailed safety report evaluations and improvements.
  
• Creates, implements, and maintains the Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) program to promote a safer workplace.
  
• Oversees the emergency program for Philips Costa Rica and supports operational transfers with EHS-related issues. Investigates first aid incidents, lost workday cases, and near misses.
  

You're the right fit if:

• Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety Engineering or equivalent experience, with over 1 year of relevant work experience. Intermediate to advanced English proficiency required.
• Proficient in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, BBS Program, Contractor Management Program, Emergency System Management, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 101. Experienced with incidents investigation tools and internal auditing for ISO standards.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Share Point, Teams, Excel), data analysis across various platforms, blueprint reading, and creating effective presentations.
• Strong assertive communication, teamwork abilities, emotional intelligence in customer service, root cause analysis, risk management, behavior-based safety, project management, business continuity, and lean tools.
