• 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

The External Audit Manager is responsible for streamlining the external audit process for Finance Operations (Fin Ops) by serving as a central point of contact for all audit-related matters. This includes coordinating with internal Fin Ops teams to ensure audit readiness, facilitating information gathering and documentation, and serving as the primary liaison to external auditors. The External Audit Manager will also work with Fin Ops teams, teams upstream of Fin Ops, and non-integrated subsidiaries improve processes, controls, and documentation for ongoing audit preparedness.

Key job responsibilities

• Serve as the central point of contact for all external audit matters, managing the end-to-end audit process for Fin Ops including Procurement, Payroll, AP, and AR
• Facilitate meetings and communications between Fin Ops, external auditors, and the Global Financial Risk & Controls (GFRC) team to align on requests, timeliness, and issue resolution ensuring seamless information sharing
• Assess audit deficiencies and control failures and coordinate with Fin Ops teams, tech teams and GFRC to develop and execute remediation plans
• Resolve roadblocks or delays that could impact audit timeliness or outcomes
• Report on audit findings, status, and remediation efforts to executive stakeholders
• Understand ongoing changes to Fin Ops processes. Anticipate future audit scope. Work with Fin Ops, GFRC, upstream teams, and tech teams to ensure Fin Ops is prepared for upcoming external audits.
• Address GFRC requests that may arise through the external audit or as part of adhoc initiatives
• Identify opportunities to automate existing manual controls, enhance documentation, or improve efficiency and reliability of control processes
• Develop mechanisms to track external auditor requests, follow-up questions, and audit status.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
