Job Description
Description: We are looking for an experienced remote based Systems Security Engineer ll in Costa Rica to enhance our technical team and lead the management and optimization of our infrastructure assets across AWS Cloud and on-premises environments. You will report to the Head of Systems Security. You will bring technical expertise in asset management, focusing on ensuring peak system performance and strategic alignment of our infrastructure systems.

Job Description
Description: We are looking for an experienced remote based Systems Security Engineer ll in Costa Rica to enhance our technical team and lead the management and optimization of our infrastructure assets across AWS Cloud and on-premises environments. You will report to the Head of Systems Security. You will bring technical expertise in asset management, focusing on ensuring peak system performance and strategic alignment of our infrastructure systems.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management and optimization of infrastructure assets in AWS Cloud and on-premises environments.
- Ensure comprehensive inventory, configuration, and maintenance practices to support organizational performance and strategic goals.
- Employ advanced monitoring tools to evaluate infrastructure performance and resolve issues.
- Provide relevant insights to enhance system stability and operational efficiency.
- Lead the configuration, installation, and ongoing maintenance of critical infrastructure components, including servers and storage systems.
- Ensure seamless integration and functionality across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and partners to resolve technical challenges.
- Develop detailed technical documentation on infrastructure configurations and management.
- Create strategic reports on asset performance, metrics, and compliance, providing recommendations for optimization.
- Ensure that infrastructure assets meet compliance requirements and industry standards.
- Implement and oversee security controls to mitigate risks and protect organizational data.
- Manage automation projects, including the use of scripting and tools to improve asset management processes.
Qualifications
What your background is
- You have 3+ years of experience in a System Security Engineering role
- Demonstrated experience in managing infrastructure assets within AWS Cloud and on-premises settings, including advanced configuration, monitoring, and maintenance. Experienced in using performance monitoring tools to coordinate infrastructure efficiency and stability.
- Ability to provide high-level technical support and troubleshoot complex issues with a strategic approach.
