In practice, what is this about?

During an 18-month program you will have a unique opportunity to actively contribute with hands-on experience in different procurement teams. You will:

• Learn how a pharmaceutical company operates across all its value chain
• Learn what Procurement is about in a large multinational company
• Support several countries and category teams while working on specific projects
• Analyze data and learn how to interpret them
• Participate into negotiation with suppliers and analyze the results
• Work closely with different stakeholders and business entities to solve real life problems
• Learn how to effectively interact with diverse teams, understand their needs and contribute to achieve company objectives

This program starts in January 2025 and will last 18 months. Upon successful completion of this program, you will be promoted to a permanent Buyer position within our procurement team.

The ideal candidate would:

• Completed degree in a business, scientific, or technical area. (max. 1 year after studies)
• Curious to learn about procurement and healthcare
• Fast learner, curious and independent individual
• Comfortable to operate in a complex, constantly evolving environment
• Autonomous in decision making process and comfortable in working independently
• Comfortable in working in a team, exchanging and enriching ideas, contributing both to the company and the team culture
• Comfortable with data analysis, advance use of Ms Excel, Powerpoint and presenting outcomes
• Assertive, and open to exchange and interact with senior leaders within the team, the company and the external market.
• Proficient English (German is a big plus. French or other European languages an asset)
• European Union citizen, a lawful permanent resident of Czech Republic or other authorization to work in Czech Republic without required sponsorship

Will I get paid?

Better. Besides a competitive salary you will be entitled of the whole Novartis benefits and reward package.

• Monthly pension contribution matching your individual contribution up to 3% of your gross monthly base salary;
• Risk Life Insurance (full cost covered by Novartis);
• 5-week holiday per year ; 4 paid sick days within one calendar year in case of absence due to sickness without a medical sickness report;
