Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and enhance the software components in the assigned Software Engineering function in one or more of platform and application management. Each day, you provide accurate project schedule estimates and ensures their successful completion within the deadline. You will also showcase your expertise by demonstrating good proficiency in software engineering in their own area of competence. The work model for the role is: hybrid This role is contributing to the Process automation in Czechia. You will be mainly accountable for: • Performing a variety of software engineering tasks in the assigned area of software development, software quality engineering, software testing, Dev Ops, cybersecurity, software release, support, and maintenance, and/or release management, with limited supervision. • Contributing (independently) to the software development lifecycle that includes requirements, conceptualization, prototyping, design, coding, testing, release, and subsequent maintenance and operations. • Creating highly structured and maintainable code and deliverables with right amount of documentation. • Embracing software architecture and design patterns in development to achieve better software metrics across software modularity such as coupling and cohesiveness. SW projects that you can meet with us: • SW products for marine vessels • SW products for container handling facilities in ports or on railways • SW products for safety management on oil rigs • Collection of data from industrial operations and their subsequent analysis and processing In parallel, during the year we work on about 100 different projects, so if none of them caught your eye, don't despair, because we have a lot more in the backlog. The distribution of our projects is about 45% web projects (.NET Core 3+, Angular, React, Vue), 45% desktop projects (primarily WPF), the rest is mobile application development (PWA / Xamarin), ML, reporting, etc. Everywhere is like the main BE programming language C#. It goes without saying that modern CI/CD practices are used for deployment – typically in the MS Azure environment. We will use containerized docker solutions wherever appropriate.

Qualifications for the role

• Previous experience as a developer/programmer
• Experience with .NET development in C# and object-oriented design with design patterns in mind
• Experience with databases, e.g. MS SQL
• Willingness to further education and work in a team as well as independently
• Proactive attitude
• English language at a communicative level (min. B1-B2)
