The Job
As Accountant, you will be representative for the accounting department towards internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for Bank- and Intercompany reconciliations as well as daily bookkeeping ensuring quality, correctness and completeness at all times, with the assistance from student assistants. We do the bookkeeping for the Novo Nordisk Foundation, Novo Holdings and their subsidiaries in Denmark and abroad, and as such, we close the books of ~40 units.

You will work closely together with the teams in Finance, which aside Accounting consists of Tax, FP&A, Investment Operations, Valuation and Facility Management as well as you will have daily contacts with colleagues across the organisation.

In the role you will:

• Handling all aspects of the accounts payable and expense processes including receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices and expenses.

• Bank- and Intercompany reconciliations.
• External and I/C invoicing including accounts receivable reconciliation.
• Participation in month-end close processes.
• VAT reporting.
• Communication and various coordination with vendors, service providers and other external and internal parties related to accounts payable.
• Active contribution in accounting process optimization.
• Ad hoc tasks in the collaboration with the accounting team.

You will be a part of a highly motivated team with great colleagues who respects and appreciates each other. The team consists of eight team members including three student assistants and is anchored in Finance & Operations that encompasses Finance, Risk & Performance, Legal, Strategy Office, and Digital.

Professional Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with:

• Experience and interest for accounts payable and expense management processes from an accounting or finance function from a midsize or large international company.
• We value your broad accounting experience more than educational background. In other words, you may have an all-round education in Finance, BSc in Business Administration or similar.
• Abilities to interact across different functions and many stakeholders.
• Interest and understanding of ERP-systems. Experience with D365BC, Contina Document Capture and Contina Expense Management is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in Danish and in English (written as well as verbal).
