We’re on the lookout for a passionate intern to support our buying team, providing valuable exposure to the procurement processes in a fast-paced, international fashion environment.
A CREATIVE AND FORWARD-THINKING TEAM
At SELECTED, our product groups bring eight collections to life each year, demanding precision and dedication at every stage. Your role will involve assisting with essential tasks, from creating and following up on purchase orders and engaging with suppliers to conducting style and performance analyses. Collaborating closely with design and pattern design colleagues, we ensure each collection meets our standards for quality, fit, and price. With collections progressing in different phases, we work proactively to stay ahead of each production step.
YOUR ROLE
As an intern, you will be working with our light woven product group, gaining hands-on experience in many facets of the buying and collection development process, including:

Drafting and following up on purchase orders with our international suppliers
Participating in supplier discussions and cost assessments
Tracking styles and their various price levels
Providing feedback on product quality, fabric, fit, and design in collaboration with our design team.

YOUR PROFILE
We imagine that you are a student of Design & Business or Marketing Management with an elective in procurement. You have a strong interest in the fashion industry and are determined to combine this interest with your professional procurement knowledge.
Additionally, we hope you bring:

Fluent English skills in both writing and speaking
Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
Solid numeracy and communication skills
A structured approach to tasks and adherence to deadlines.
