Commissioning and Service Engineer

As a Commissioning and Service Engineer, you will be responsible for commissioning and maintaining ABB Marine Automation, control and monitoring systems. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will ensure that testing and service activities are completed efficiently and cost-effectively, in accordance with specifications, standards, and safety requirements. This position offers you an excellent opportunity to contribute to developing the ABB marine business and to develop into an expert in our products and systems. Your role and responsibilities

• Commissioning and maintaining ABB Marine automation, control, and monitoring systems. • Handling service and maintenance calls on operating vessels. • Supervising installation, startup, testing, and acceptance testing of systems with classification societies and customers. • Assisting in continuous improvement of project design, participating in project review meetings, and providing input on commissioning activities. • Identifying and recommending solutions to meet business and customer needs and providing relevant information. • Providing information to contractors/colleagues and giving feedback to the organization to apply lessons learned.

Qualifications for the role

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Automation or Electrical Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming and systems.
• Collaborative, solution-focused approach with strong communication skills in Danish and English; additional language skills are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with significant interaction with both customers and the ABB team.
• Experience in shipbuilding and familiarity with ABB products is advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Office software; familiarity with ABB tools is preferred.
