Aalborg

FULL TIME

November 15, 2024

Do you want to elevate building standards and drive sustainable construction projects? Can you lead diverse teams to ensure timely project delivery while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards? And are you an experienced construction manager in the building and industry sector? Then, bring your knowledge and passion to drive impactful construction projects! We are looking for several skilled construction managers to help shape the future of sustainable building.
Elevate construction standards by turning challenges into successful building outcomes
To lead the execution of complex building and industrial construction projects with a focus on quality, safety, and sustainability, we are looking for several Construction Managers to join our team. We are 55 working alongside our customers on some of Denmark’s most significant projects within the Buildings and Industry sector. Simultaneously with ensuring project success, our construction managers actively collaborate in cross-office communities to drive personal and professional growth within the field of construction management.
Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety regulations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, facilitating effective communication throughout the project
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and ensure adherence to safety standards
  • Supervise and support construction teams, fostering collaboration and resolving on-site issues
  • Collaborate with project managers to track budgets and schedules, ensuring timely project completion within the allocated budget.
Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future
The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways, but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.
On top of that, you will have:
  • A relevant degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field
  • Extensive experience as a construction manager in building and industry projects, with a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations
  • Excellent communication skills in English and in one of the Scandinavian languages, including the ability to listen actively to stakeholders and understand their needs
  • A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, subcontractors, and clients, while maintaining composure in stressful situations
  • The ability to think holistically and prioritize tasks effectively to ensure projects run smoothly and on time.
A place to work and so much more
At COWI, we work together with our customers to shape a sustainable and liveable world. We do it by applying our knowledge and curiosity – and sometimes even our courage – to create the solutions the world needs today to enable a better tomorrow. That is why we say no to fossil-based projects and aspire to have 100% of our revenue come from activities that move our customers towards sustainability.
We value differences and development and cultivate an environment of belonging and having fun. Because that is what brings out the best in you, at work and at home.
With offices primarily located in the Nordic region, the UK, North America and India, we are currently more than 8,000 people who bring their expertise in engineering, architecture, energy and environment into play.

Before you apply

All you need to include in your application is your CV – no photo or application letter. At an interview, you can tell us everything we need to know about why you’re interested in joining COWI. As for the photo, we prefer to form our first impression in person rather than from a picture.
Diversity is fundamental to COWI, inclusion is key.

We ensure that our leaders are role models for inclusive leadership by cultivating a culture where diverse perspectives and thoughts are seen as strengths. We do it because it is part of our values and because it is simply the right thing to do.
