Orbex are looking for a Facilities Attendant to join our team in Copenhagen, to provide efficient cleaning and janitorial services across all work areas.

You will join our dynamic team in the Facilities Department on permanent basis, working from Monday to Friday, 37,5 hours a week.

The Position

Your time will be somewhat self-managed, and it is important that you are comfortable taking initiative rather than waiting to be given tasks.

The position includes the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Cleaning and maintenance of our premises including office, production sites, and welfare areas used by our employees
• Handling of waste management, including proper disposal of trash and recycling
• Performing routine checks and minor repairs on equipment and facilities, such as light fixtures, doors, and plumbing
• Coordinating with external vendors or contractors for larger repair or maintenance tasks
• Upkeep of outside areas surrounding facility building, and rotational deep cleaning of specified areas
• Monitoring inventory and consumables storage, restock when needed
• Ensuring that the office is stocked with necessary supplies, such as toiletries, snacks, and office supplies, track and order supplies if needed
• Specialised cleaning in laboratory and clean room areas (full training will be provided)
• Support office staff with special requests related to the facility, such as setting up for events or moving office furniture
• Monitor and report any potential hazards or safety risks, ensuring all safety regulations are adhered to, including fire safety equipment is available and emergency exits are clear of obstructions etc
• Identify and report any potential hazards or safety risks, carrying out checks and reporting any faults found

Key Qualifications and Experience

• Prior experience in facility management, cleaning, or maintenance roles like Janitor or Industrial cleaner would be preferable
• Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance, including use of basic tools
• Familiarity with cleaning and safety protocols
• Basic administrative skills, such as managing supply inventories
• Communication skills to coordinate with external vendors and internal teams

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a lot going on everyday
• Able to carry out a physical workload in different facility environments
• Willingness to learn cleaning procedures and undertake internal training where required
• Driving license

Location

Our roles need to be on-site in Denmark due to the nature of the position, export controls and security. This role is based in Copenhagen at Orbex’s Danish propulsion engineering and manufacturing site.

Essential information:
This role will require a clean criminal record check and will require great communication skills. You will be working with an international and multicultural team.
