WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Ramboll Tech strategy involvement:

    • Develop, implement, and continuously refine the Dev Ops & Testing strategy to support Ramboll Tech’s goals. This includes close alignment of the technology stack with the Technology Architectural team.
    • Advance Ramboll’s innovation process by assessing, commenting on and promoting Dev Ops and testing ideas.
  • Chapter financials & growth:
    • Manage the chapter budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
    • Manage capacity based on validated portfolio needs, anticipating skills requirements and enabling dynamic staffing solutions.
    • Build a high-performance team by driving hiring initiatives, evaluating talent, and facilitating internal growth.
    • Establish collaboration with external software companies and consultants to adapt proven Dev Ops & testing practices.
  • Chapter leadership & talent development:
    • Mentor, coach, and grow the careers of team members within the Dev Ops & Testing Chapter, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.
    • Oversee performance evaluations of chapter members, focusing on career development and coaching.
    • Ensure all members of the chapter have clear goals and professional development plans.
  • Technical chapter expertise:
    • Be comfortable to work with the following personas on a technical level: Product Owners, Software Developers, Cloud Engineers, Enterprise and Solution Architects, Quality Assurance Engineers, Agile Coaches/Scrum Masters, Subject Matter Experts, Business Analysts, Citizen Developers and other Global Chapter Leads (especially Product Management, Agile, Full-Stack and Low/No-Code Chapter Lead).
    • Dev Ops: Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) tools. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their Dev Ops ecosystems.
    • Software development: Proficiency in programming languages (such as Python, Bash, Power Shell) for scripting and automation tasks. Understanding microservices architecture and API management supports the development of scalable, efficient solutions.
    • Testing & QA: Strong understanding of test automation frameworks (like Selenium or JUnit) and their integration into CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with performance and security testing tools helps ensure the application meets quality standards.
    • Monitoring & Observability: Proficiency in tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack for monitoring application health and performance.
  • Collaboration with the business units & Pod involvement:
    • Act as a liaison between the Dev Ops & Testing Chapter, the Enterprise Architectural team, and various Pods, ensuring alignment with overall product and business objectives.
    • Provide guidance and support to Pods by partnering with Product Owners (Pod Leads) to implement and optimise workflows that integrate seamlessly with the Pods’ objectives.
    • Taking the role as Product Owner (Pod Lead) for non-business-related Pods.
    • Facilitate the adoption of Dev Ops and testing in the markets by supporting citizen developers in Pods and knowledge networks (Guilds).
HOW YOU WILL SUCCEED IN YOUR ROLE
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 6+ years of experience in software development.
    • 3+ years of leadership experience and managing of teams.
      • Experience leading agile teams in software environments.
  • Leadership skills:
    • Proven ability to lead and mentor developers at various levels of experience.
    • Expertise in Agile methodology and fostering an Agile culture.
    • Engagement and relationship-building skills with business units.
    • Strong intercultural awareness and experience managing remote global teams.
    • Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Demonstrated servant leadership qualities, focusing on the growth and development of team members.
    • Clear and proactive stakeholder management through regular follow-ups: managing expectations, gathering feedback and mediating conflicting priorities.
