LOCATION – Flexible within the EU. We can hire in any country we have an entity. This includes Denmark, France, UK, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Benelux or Sweden.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a Global Portfolio and Business Development Manager to join Scandinavian Tobacco Group’s growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for shaping and managing our global product portfolio while identifying strategic business opportunities to drive global growth. You will work cross-functionally with marketing, R&D, and regional teams to deliver and execute portfolio strategies & business development opportunities that help grow our brands and company.
WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
Portfolio Strategy & Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive global and regional portfolio strategies, ensuring alignment with consumer preferences and market trends.
- Analyzing market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats for the brand portfolio to improve performance & profitability.
- Evaluating the performance of the portfolio and adjust as needed to ensure it continues to deliver growth and profitability.
- Define brand simplification & portfolio rationalization plan by identifying and prioritizing brands/SKUs/categories that should be retained, consolidated, or divested based on their strategic fit, growth potential, and financial performance.
- Own the annual portfolio meeting with your respective markets to sign off plans that include innovation, marketing campaigns, and brand initiatives.
Business Growth & Development:
- Identify and evaluate incremental new business opportunities, including market expansions, strategic partnerships, and potential acquisitions.
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute business development initiatives that accelerate revenue growth and expand market presence.
Market Insights & Innovation:
- Leverage data and market insights to continuously evolve the product portfolio, ensuring Scandinavian Tobacco Group remains ahead of industry trends.
- Consider market research and consumer insights for the development of the portfolio strategy & to define portfolio role and road map.
Global Collaboration:
- Work closely with regional and local teams to adapt portfolio strategies to local market needs and ensure the successful global rollout of new products.
- Ensure a cohesive approach to portfolio management and business development across markets, driving synergies and efficiencies globally.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on portfolio performance and business development activities, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Provide actionable insights to senior leadership to shape ongoing portfolio and business development strategies.
WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL BE REQUIRED?
- 5-7 years of experience in brand management and/or portfolio management, ideally within multinational FMCG companies. Global/regional experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking with a track record of identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities.
- Deep understanding of consumer behaviour, what drives their decisions and how we can adjust our strategies to fit their needs and expectations.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams & influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities across diverse global teams.
- International experience and understanding of diverse market dynamics preferred.
