The International Business Research Group at AAUBS aims to deliver high quality PBL-teaching, research, and outreach activities in international business to enable students, companies, and society at large to address the grand challenges in an increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world. The position is an integral part of the development strategy of the International Business Research Group. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative faculty dedicated to excellence in cross-cultural teaching and research.
Research areas will be within International Business with a focus on one or more of the following contemporary areas reflecting the current trends and challenges in the field of International Business:
- Digital Transformation and International Business.
- Resilience and change management of internationalised firms in the face of global disruptions.
A willingness and ability to contribute to teaching and an enthusiastic approach to all aspects of teaching is essential. The appointee is expected to contribute to an engaging and inclusive Problem-Based Learning(PBL) environment at AAUBS. Academics with experience in PBL are strongly encouraged to apply.
Aalborg University has an outstanding record in developing its educational and research activities by integrating academic and relevant practical excellence. Ability to network and develop partnerships with external organisations will be relevant to further enhance this reputation and profile. Therefore, applicants with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop links with businesses that can benefit academic teaching, research, and funding applications are preferred.
The position will be heavily weighted in favour of research. In addition, there will be a certain amount of teaching activities. The performance of other duties may be required to a limited extent. The university determines the exact weighting of the various responsibilities. The weighting of the various responsibilities may vary over time.
Appointment as a postdoc cannot exceed a period of four years in total at Aalborg University. Appointment at postdoc level cannot exceed a period of eight years in total in Denmark, however max. six years at Assistant Professor level- which includes Postdoc- at the same institution.
Qualification requirements
Appointment as Postdoc presupposes scientific qualifications at Ph D–level or similar scientific qualifications.
The application
The application must contain the following:
- Motivated application.
- Your CV.
- A complete publication list and markings of the attached publications to be taken into consideration in connection with the assessment. No more than five publications may be attached.
- In case you attach joint, a co-author statement must be enclosed specifying your contribution to the joint work. The co-author statement must be signed by at least one of the co-authors. Template co-author declaration.
- Documentation of your teaching qualifications. Guidance Teaching portfolio
- Copies of your degree certificates(including Master’s and Ph D certificates)
The application must be written in English.
Assessment
The assessment of candidates for the position will be carried out by qualified experts.
Shortlisting will be applied. This means that after the application deadline, the head of the department, with the assistance of the hiring committee, will select the applicants to be assessed. All applicants will be informed whether they have been shortlisted for assessment or not.
When the hiring process is completed, a final rejection will be sent to the applicants who are not considered for the position.

Employment and salary are in accordance with the collective agreement for state-employed academics.
