Research and Development Project Manager - Shape the Future of Maritime Efficiency
Vessel Performance Solutions (VPS), a leading innovator in maritime technology and proud member of the GTT Group, is seeking a visionary Research and Development Project Manager to drive our cutting-edge initiatives in ship performance optimization.

Your Role
As our R&D Project Manager, you'll spearhead groundbreaking projects, including a 3-year initiative funded by Innovation Fund Denmark to develop a mathematical model for predicting biofouling and its impact on ship efficiency. You'll be at the forefront of creating state-of-the-art products that keep VPS as the market leader in vessel performance management.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of advanced models to drive fleet efficiency for our clients
Manage the biofouling model project, collaborating with industry partners
Define project objectives and requirements with key stakeholders
Inspire and guide cross-functional teams to achieve exceptional outcomes
Ensure cost-efficient project management and high-quality deliverables
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer needs and escalations

Qualifications

Master's or Ph D in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Machine Learning, or related field
Experience in the shipping industry or academia is highly desirable
Strong analytical skills and research abilities
Proven project management expertise
Proficiency in building and calibrating mathematical models
Knowledge of software development processes
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
