3 teams enjoying good collaboration
Within Global IT, we would like to welcome you into our API Department. We work on the customer journey and onboarding from design to implementation as the DSV customers go through APIs to integrate with our platform and developer portal.


We consist of 3 teams. Our Public API Customer Integration team is based in Denmark, Poland, and Mexico and works on customer requirements, specifications, and QA. API Connect is a specialist team in South Africa and India, managing the configuration of our gateway. And finally, our Public API Development team is based in India and handles all our software development.

Own our architectural design – coordinate, collaborate, communicate
Based in either Denmark, Poland, or India, you will own our architectural design and platform and work both with the teams in our department as well as with the rest of IT and the business. Your aim will be to secure and improve our API landscape by introducing industry standards and guidelines while scoping the area to keep us on the right path.
The role itself requires dialogue with multiple stakeholders, creating an overview and connecting the dots through coordination, collaboration, and communication as you:

• Assist your department as well as multiple stakeholders from different departments, setting best standards and practices to improve our software design processes and governance
• Ensure that we maintain high software development standards and maintain our security compliance
• Work on the strategy and the architecture itself, alongside leadership, translating technical specifications into business language
• Take input from and work with our enterprise architects to align the architecture
• Travel around 4-8 weeks during your first year to meet your department face-to-face (you will be part of the planning so there will be room for family life and free time)

“Working on a changing landscape with new scenarios, practices, and guidelines coming from high level, you’ll get to challenge those and implement the ones deemed the very best,” explains Viktorija.


Architecture and API experience
In this role, you will need good communication skills to act as a change agent, conveying the value of new best practices and processes. Also, you are curious and stay up to date on new trends and technologies and use them to come up with improvement ideas. Finally, you:

• Hold a degree in computer science
• Have good experience within architecture or as a software development lead
• Possess solid technical knowledge and experience working with APIs
• Know one or more of the following: Java, Python, .Net, C#, Node.js – and have some knowledge of cloud platforms
• May have knowledge of Kubernetes and/or Dev Ops
• Are fluent in English
