• Multiple years of experience in cloud architecture, migration, and application modernization
• Demonstrated success leading large, complex migration and transformation projects from start to finish
• Strong understanding of modern application architectures, including microservices, containers, and serverless
• Strong understanding of on prem datacenter architecture as well as cloud architecture, security and landing zones
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers and managing Cx O stakeholders

As a Customer Delivery Architect, you will solution and execute our largest and most complex cloud migration and modernization initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with enterprise customers to architect, offer and oversee the successful migration and modernization of their data centres and legacy applications to the AWS Cloud. You will be running working backwards sessions, pre-sales discussions and design workshops with customers to understand our customer’s technical and non-technical requirements deeply and translate it into a compelling compelling business cases.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Key job responsibilities

• Share AWS best practices and evangelize cloud-first strategies within the customer organization when it comes to large scale migration and modernization.
• Work backwards from our customers business objectives, give prescriptive guidance and jointly with our customers build and execute there journeys to cloud and enable business outcomes.
• Lead the assessment of our customers organization, their technical environments, and workloads, then design, offer and implement comprehensive migration plans to the AWS Cloud, including technical and non-technical aspects of moving safe and healthy to cloud.
• Work closely with sales to build executable proposals for our customers.
• Lead the planning and execution of large-scale data center exit projects, including infrastructure, applications and organizational readiness/cloud maturity of our customers prior to moving to cloud.
• Architect modern, cloud-native application architectures to modernize legacy and monolithic applications.
• Provide guidance and hands-on technical leadership to cross-functional delivery teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Identify optimization opportunities to improve application performance, availability, security, and cost-efficiency on AWS.
• Collaborate closely with customer stakeholders to understand requirements, manage risks, and ensure project success.

• Strong understanding of AWS services
• Financial services industry (FSI) experience and background
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud and/or operating solutions built on AWS
• Expertise in Dev Ops, Big Data, Machine Learning, Gen AI and Serverless Computing
• Experience in Infrastructure automation through Dev Ops scripting (E.g. shell, Python, Ruby, Powershell)
