POSITION TITLE: Indirect Sourcing Traceability Coordinator
REPORTING TO: Indirect Sourcing Manager Ecuador

LOCATION: Durán-Samborondón-Ecuador

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Summary:
The Indirect Sourcing Traceability Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the indirect sourcing traceability activities across the LATAM region. He/she will be overseeing an Indirect Sourcing Traceability Analyst
Essential Functions:
  • Indirect Sourcing Traceability Coordinator works hand in hand with indirect sourcing commercial team to identify and assess suppliers who will deliver EUDR compliant beans.
  • Indirect Sourcing Traceability Coordinator will train suppliers and provide them with all the training material they need on traceability related topics.

  • Indirect Sourcing Traceability Coordinator will organize and ensure a smooth and reliable farmers registration & mapping data integration process
    • Work closely with direct sourcing/traceability team to identify supply chain overlaps (e.g. suppliers direct & indirect)
    • Collect farmer registration from suppliers
    • Follow up with suppliers and collect indirect suppliers mapping data collection to ensure perfect compliance with BC quality standards
    • Work directly with M&E headquarters team to guarantee all mapping data collected by his/her team is then uploaded in BC global data platforms.

  • Indirect Sourcing Traceability Coordinator will be in charge of guaranteeing all indirect suppliers properly use the traceability tools and systems developed by BC:
    • Bring traceability granularity from supplier level to individual farmers’ deliveries,
    • Digitalize cocoa traceability flows,
    • Be accessible on a real time base,
    • Ensure standardization, quality, and auditability.
Ensure that all data sharing authorization requirement are fulfilled with 3rd parties
  • Traceability Coordinator will coordinate the implementation of a traceability control & verifications process to assess if suppliers follow BC procedures in terms of:
    • Mapping requirements
    • Farmer deliveries capture
    • Farmers contribution to lots
    • Farmers’ delivery capacity

  • Indirect Sourcing Traceability Coordinator will work in strong partnership with the M&E team to make sure that the implemented traceability solution provides the required relevant reporting and dashboards for internal & external use. Indirect Sourcing Traceability Coordinator will be responsible for all indirect traceability reporting & analysis to management.
Indirect Sourcing Traceability Coordinator will collaborate with other BC Traceability Leads and play an active role in strengthening the robustness of BC global Traceability systems.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Work Experience:
  • Degree in Development Studies, Economics, Engineering, Computer science, Statistics, Business Administration, Agri-business or other related social sciences.
  • Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Other related specializations such as in Project Management, Statistics, or Mathematics are an advantage.
  • Additional certifications on data analytics are an advantage (e.g. data analysis softwares, programming, GIS-based mapping, or others).
  • 3+ years of professional experience, with at least 1 year of experience in a previous Traceability or data management role, such as but not limited to in the cocoa sector, international development sector.

Additional Requirements:
  • Strong analytical and critical skills to ensure excellence in data and consistency in KPI reporting
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written to include report writing
  • Proficiency in MS Office application – Word, Power Point and Excel to an excellent standard.
  • Knowledge in Data analysis software such as python, Google Data studio or Microsoft Power Bi will be an added advantage
  • Good understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Experience in Cocoa or Coffee sourcing a must have
  • Coordination of teams outside of reporting line with different agenda, background and expertise.
  • Project management experience
  • Well versed in Microsoft Excel/ Agile environments/ GIS and other analytical tools (SQL)
  • Experienced in working with or in Latin American origins is a must have
  • Experience in Data base and mapping data management (SQL, GIS software) is a must
  • Experience in the Agri. Development/Traceability/ Sustainability sector is a plus
  • Strong analytical and critical skills to ensure excellence in data and consistency in KPI reporting
  • Experience with designing or working in sustainable KPI frameworks a nice to have
  • Ability to explain complex reporting processes to end users with strong coaching and training skills
  • Partial home office is possible.
