Decision-Making and Authority

• Select/review and approve the type of product to offer on technical grounds for all Non-Value Engineered inquiries.
• Finalize, review, and approve the Value Engineering activities of all key-inquiries in coordination with AVE GM.
• Must consult with AVE GM prior to finalizing the recommendations for all the major critical and strategic Value Engineered inquiries.

Tasks and Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of application managers and engineers. This includes:

• Reviewing and approving all key technical documents and reports prepared by the AE Managers.
• Reviewing and approving the Value Engineering activities of key inquiries in coordination with AVE GM.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to all AE Managers and Engineers to help them develop their technical and soft skills, map and pave a career growth plan.
• Resolve bottlenecks and interdepartmental gaps, implement ways of improving workflow and efficiency, and ensure a sustainable overall top-tier end results and quality deliverables of all AE technical services to meet the department goals and business needs.
• Setting goals, KPIs, and evaluating the performance of AE Managers.

Provide high-level technical expertise and guidance. This includes:

• Providing technical support to Sales and Market Development VP, GMs and Managers in complex problems by reviewing and analyzing related information to develop and evaluate key options and optimal solutions to all sales related and commercial activities.
• Providing interdepartmental high-level technical assistance, developing pragmatic technical solutions/recommendations and overcoming complex technical bottlenecks to business cross functional teams in QAQC, Bids & Proposals, Site Services, Projects, Production, and other functions as needed.
• Attending meetings with designers/clients/end users/consultants to discuss strategic project requirements.
• Troubleshooting technical problems and raise awareness on the use of Composites by conducting detailed technical presentations, sessions, and seminars to clients and business partners where needed.
• Supporting end users and clients in drafting a detailed material and technical specifications based on the latest standards and best practices, participating in value engineering existing standards and specifications, and contributing to international standard committees and Joint Industrial Projects (JIPs).
• Reviewing and approving Master Technical Submittals to key products/applications/end users/projects.
• Oversee the design, development, and testing of new product development initiatives and implementations for new/complex applications This includes:
• Liaise with Technology and Commercial stakeholders to outline market size, business case, viability, and product initiation and release plan.
• Working with R&D and Technology stakeholders to establish product design and performance requirements based on market/application needs, define product/application boundaries and developing technical specifications, and manage the internal-to-external product solution development and implementation process.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest specifications, standards, technologies and industry trends. This includes attending conferences, reading industry publications, publishing papers, and participating in Nonmetallic communities.
• Develop and implement new processes and procedures. This includes improving the efficiency of the application engineering team and ensuring that the team meets the needs of the business.
• Budget and forecast for the application engineering team. This includes ensuring that the team has the resources they need to meet their goals.
• Report to executive management on the performance of the application engineering team. This includes providing regular updates on the team's progress and identifying any areas where improvement is needed.
• In addition to these tasks and responsibilities, AEM II may also be responsible for the following:
• Representing the department as AVE GM deputy and envoy in external technical affairs, conferences, and relevant endeavors in local and regional markets.
• Working together with business leadership at Executive & Management level. Specifying needs, communicating
• about project approach and presenting outcomes of research done.
• Leading strategic initiatives. This could involve developing new products or services, expanding into new markets, or improving the company's customer experience.
• Managing relationships with vendors and partners. This is important for ensuring that the company has access to the latest technologies and that its applications are compatible with the systems of its customers and partners.
• Promoting the company's products and services. This could involve attending trade shows, writing white papers, or giving presentations.

Qualifications
Academics & Degrees

• B.Sc. Engineering, Engineering Diploma

Years and Position of Experience

• 2 – 4 years as Applications Engineering Manager I or equivalent
