BU Description
The CMAAS team currently has exciting opportunities within its team based out of Egypt and covering the Middle East Region.
This team is composed of highly specialized and well rounded professionals covering a variety of areas of expertise aiming to support clients in achieving their objectives as part of a transaction or a listing.
The team has an exceptional track record of advising over 500 transactions and a number of listings in the Middle East, the UK and the US, The team mainly focuses on:
- Debt and equity raising
- IPO readiness
- Capital market reporting
- Merger and acquisition
- Group reorganization
- Government restructuring
- Pre - PO structuring
- Carve out and divestment
- Complex accounting treatment
We are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated accountant with a proven track record of high-quality delivery of client projects, strong technical knowledge and experience with a commercially rounded mindset focusing on client requirements and needs and an ability to work in a demanding environment.
A key success factor for this role is a combination of strong technical knowledge with an “out of the box” way of thinking enabling him to bring innovative ideas/ solutions to complex issues.
As a Senior Associate, you will be required to assist the team managers to deliver on complex accounting advisory and capital market engagements with a variety of clients. This will involve:
- A strong attention to details and ability to multitask, learn and undertake detailed research
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS, its practical and commercial applications to provide clients with advice that addresses their objectives.
- Ability to conduct in depth research on complex accounting matters, prepare technical papers for discussion with senior team members and apply critical thinking.
- Strong task management skills as the delivery role may require you working potentially on multiple projects requiring a balance and management of tasks and commitments on these projects.
- Interacting and developing relationships with key client staff and engaging in a professional and confident manner.
- Develop and build positive relationships with both the client staff and internal Pw C team members including with the other Pw C lines of services (such as tax, legal, deals, etc.).
Skills and Competencies
- Strong interest and passion for enhancing technical accounting knowledge, capital market experience and regulatory reporting services skills.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability and willingness to travel within the Middle East based on the project and client
- requirements.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team with a fast paced and a high energy that will
- translate into a high-quality output.
- Excellent organizational skills, having the ability to prioritize workload whilst being resilient and
- being able to cope well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
Educational Qualifications & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business studies, accounting, or finance.
- Certification in accounting: ACA, ACCA, CPA, or similar accounting certification.
Experience:
- 4 - 7 years of audit, accounting advisory or capital market experience within a Big 4 firm.
- Accounting Advisory or capital market consulting experience is beneficial.
