Responsibilities
Manages the data science team and owns the strategic planning and execution of all b_labs data science models
Collaborates with b_labs business partners to develop novel ways to meet objectives utilizing cutting edge techniques and tools
Establishes processes that data quality and integrity is achieved across sources
Effectively communicates the analytics approach and how it will meet and address objectives
Advocates and educates on the value of data driven decision-making focusing on the “how and why” of solving problems
Creates repeatable, interpretable, dynamic and scalable models that are seamlessly incorporated into analytic data products
Identifies and develops long-term processes, frameworks, tools, methods and standards
Collaborates, coaches, and learns with a growing team of experienced data scientists and is closely working with the different squads
Stays connected with external sources of ideas through conferences and community engagements

Requirements
Holds degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics
Has at least 8 years of experience in data scientist and at least 3 years as people leader
Has experience with Python or R (incl. proficiency working with data frames)
Has proficiency writing complex SQL queries
Has experience with Machine Learning to solve clustering, classification, regression, anomaly detection, simulation and optimization problems on large-scale data sets
Has proven ability to merge and transform disparate internal & external data sets together to create new features
Has experience with big data technologies – Hadoop, Spark, H20.ai, Cloud AI platforms, containerization
Has experience with supporting deployment, monitoring, maintenance and enhancement of models desired
Experience with data visualization tools preferred – Tableau, R Shiny, Plotly, etc.
Has experience in agile ways of working across an interdisciplinary team Understands relationship with Product Manager, Scrum Master, Design Lead and rest of technical team
