A career in Pw C’s Deals Technology practice provides a unique opportunity to lead the transformation of data strategies in the financial services sector. We are seeking a skilled professional to shape and implement Data Governance, Data Management, Target operating model for data governance and management, Data architecture, storage and security,
Master Data and Master Data Management, Data Quality Framework tailored to the financial services industry. As part of Pw C's Data & Analytics department, you will work closely with a
multidisciplinary team to drive data-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency and align
with the strategic objectives of financial institutions. If you're passionate about leveraging data to enhance decision-making and business performance, this is the perfect role for you.
What to consider before applying:
This role requires the candidate to be based out of Jordan or Cairo, with a willingness to travel up to 85% of the time, either to the UAE or KSA. You must be proficient in English and have significant experience within the financial services sector, with prior involvement in mergers and acquisitions projects. DAMA certification will be a plus.
As a Senior Consultant/ Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the definition, development and implementation of data governance frameworks specifically designed to meet the regulatory, control, growth and operational needs of our clients, ensuring compliance with industry standards and mitigating risks
- Designing and managing data architectures, including storage solutions, with a strong emphasis on data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance within the required sector
- Overseeing Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives to ensure high-quality, consistent data, helping institutions improve data-driven decision-making
- Managing the technical delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, particularly for financial services firms
- Collaborating with stakeholders from across the financial sector to align data governance and management strategies with broader business goals, while developing a Target Operating Model tailored to the institutions
- Mentoring and training team members to build a high-performance team capable of delivering value
- Building relationships with key financial sector clients, contributing to business development through co-developing propositions and responding to RFPs
- Managing relationships with technology vendors and conducting evaluations to ensure tools and solutions meet the specific needs of financial services firms
- Staying current with financial industry trends and advising clients on best practices in data governance and analytics
Role Requirements:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in data governance, management, and strategy within the financial services sector, including exposure to capital projects, mergers, and acquisitions
- Strong understanding of financial sector-specific regulations and compliance requirements related to data governance, architecture, and security
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and data aggregation tools like Snowflake and Kafka, with a focus on financial services solutions
- Data analytics skills with experience in tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Python, R
- DAMA certification is essential; certifications like PMI’s Project Management Professional (PMP®) or DAMA’s Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP®) are advantageous
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of working closely with financial services clients to deliver impactful solutions
- Proven ability to manage projects, mentor teams, and drive successful outcomes for financial services institutions
