Job Overview:
Invitro Capital is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Engineering Manager with expertise in Cloud Solutions, AI, Python, and Backend Solution Design to lead our engineering team in Egypt. In this hybrid role, you will play a pivotal part in developing cutting-edge software solutions, leveraging cloud technologies, and implementing AI best practices. You will guide your team of engineers, ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects while shaping the technical direction of our innovative ventures. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Pacific Time Zone.

Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Define and enforce technical standards, best practices, and processes, particularly focusing on cloud solutions, AI, and backend development.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Oversee the design and development of scalable backend systems, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.
• Drive the implementation of AI models, data engineering solutions, and cloud-based architectures to optimize business processes.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and identifying opportunities for team development and growth.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, encouraging the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud solutions, AI, and software engineering.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong track record of leading and managing engineering teams.
• Proven expertise in cloud solutions, AI technologies, and Python-based backend development.
• Strong technical background in solution design, software architecture, and developing scalable, high-traffic applications.
• Hands-on experience with agile development methodologies and project management frameworks.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of engineers.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative technical solutions.
• Proficient organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience leading engineering teams in the tech startup or venture capital industry.
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks, data engineering pipelines, and AI-driven product development.
• Proven experience in solution architecture and backend design, particularly in Python-based environments.
• Previous entrepreneurial experience or background in product development.
