We are looking for an Accounting Manager (R2R & P2P Manager) with a Bachelor's degree in Finance and at least 12-15 years of professional experience in Finance & Accounting roles. Fluency in English and Arabic, strong analytical capabilities with good business acumen, as well as excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, are required.
RISE TO THE CHALLENGE
You will be part of the Finance team of "Philip Morris Egypt & Levant" reporting to the Regional Controller. As an Accounting Manager, you will lead and supervise all activities related to the accounting and treasury functions. The position will manage all daily, monthly and yearly activities as well as providing effective accounting services and analysis support for the PM E&L. The function has to ensure complete, effective and accurate US GAAP, statutory and tax reporting, as well as ah-hoc financial analysis in compliance with PMI principles & practices and fiscal regulations, in order to provide comprehensive view of financial results for PM Egypt.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• REPORTING: Provide accurate, consistent and timely reporting to ensure that the internal / external reporting requirements are met: • Manage preparation of statutory reporting for Egypt , including all company tax analysis and documentation needed, • Manage preparation of financial statements according to USGAAP. Ensure that all accounting and closing processes, controls and reporting systems are maintained to provide timely and accurate financial to all the related stakeholders (internal and external authorities). Closely monitor changes in accounting rules and assess their impact on the local and USGAAP reporting requirements.

Closely monitor changes in accounting rules and assess their impact on the local and USGAAP reporting requirements.
- TAXATION: Support the tax function in handling tax returns as well as related declarations and bookings. supervise tax payments in order to ensure the fulfillment of current regulations. Manage the implementation of Tax Authorities' audits and inspections. Follow of the changes in local accounting and taxation regulations in order to reduce potential negative impacts and maintain an effective and accurate taxation system.
- AUDITORS & ANNUAL REPORTS: Co-ordinate annual and fiscal closing processes. Serve as partner with auditors to include coordinating of annual audit, including preparing/assigning all audit schedules/audit confirmations. Submit related governmental reports required by GAFI in quarter and annual basis for PM Egypt
- TREASURY & CASH PERFORMANCE: Ensure treasury activities including medium term cash forecasting, cash collection control are functioning in line with the valid procedures in place. Challenges cash flow performance and monitors the liquidity / working capital KPIs. Ensure that any special transactions are carried out in accordance with the PMI requirements. Control and challenge working capital levels. Contribute to reach the optimal financial position. Based on financial analysis actively propose changes in the current business processes to support optimization. Manage relationships and communication with banks, cash collection and insurance companies in order to ensure business needs fulfilled. Validate and submit all Balance Sheet related accounts and variance reports.

MONTH-END/YEAR-END CLOSING & FINANCIAL REPORTING: Manage the closing process at month-end and year-end so that all of financial transactions can be reflected in Financial Statements timely and accurately, and ensure that all of financial reporting to PMI are performed according to the reporting schedule based on split of responsibilities between FSC and affiliate. Assess appropriate accounting treatment based on US GAAP and PMI Finance Standards, including inquiry of PMI Consolidations & Reporting team. Manage and support internal and external audits and resolve issues when arise.
- ADVISORY / CONSULTANCY / AD HOC PROJECTS: Ensure that relevant departments are informed about all realized and planned modifications and changes in accounting legislation impacting business in advanced. Proactively and based on request provide accounting advisory service to all departments in order to ensure that local legislation requirements are adhered to. Cooperate on ad hoc projects in order to give advisory and provide analysis to the management. This includes hyperinflation, partner-related topics.
- PEOPLE MANAGEMENT: Plan and co-ordinate the work of the team to ensure that the services provided by the group meet the expectations of supported functions while safeguarding the interest of the company, respecting both internal and external policies, procedures, legislation and guidelines.
Qualifications and Educational requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A track record of working in Accounting, ideally, combined with Financial Planning experience.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles, familiarity with US GAAP Accounting and Local Accounting and taxes rules
- Minimum 12 years of relevant work experience, professional qualification in accounting is preferred, e.g. CPA, CMA, or CFA.
- Good experience and exposure in the interaction with banks and financial institutions.
- Previous leadership experience working in a heavily matrixed environment .
- Strong business partnering skills- credibility and resilience required.
- Previous experience of Budgeting, Forecasting and Financial Planning & Analysis.
- Strong analytical capability, with strong commercial acumen, business sense and financial knowledge.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Advanced knowledge of MS office and SAP.
