Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an MEP BIM Engineer located in Dubai. The MEP BIM Engineer will be responsible for creating and managing building information models (BIM) for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in construction projects. The role involves close collaboration with project teams to ensure the accurate integration and coordination of MEP systems within the BIM environment, adhering to project specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed MEP BIM models using software such as Revit MEP, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate MEP systems within the overall building design
Prepare and review detailed design documentation, technical drawings, and BIM models for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
Ensure that MEP BIM models are compliant with local regulations, industry standards, and client specifications
Assist in clash detection and resolution within the BIM model, ensuring smooth integration of MEP systems with architectural and structural elements
Perform regular quality checks on MEP BIM models and update models as needed during project development and construction phases
Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure the correct implementation of BIM designs on-site
Stay updated on the latest BIM technologies and industry advancements related to MEP systems
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field
2 to 4 years of experience as an MEP BIM Engineer, with hands-on experience in BIM modeling and coordination
Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken
Previous experience working in a reputable company within the construction, infrastructure, or MEP industry
Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit MEP, Navisworks, and Auto CAD MEP
Strong understanding of MEP design principles, BIM processes, and construction documentation
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for BIM implementation and project coordination
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creating and reviewing BIM models and MEP documentation
