QA Automation Engineer

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be accountable for automation testing and involved in quality assurance initiatives and end-to-end activities
- Maintain and improve a quality-focused automation framework
- Automate and maintain cross-browser and cross-device regression tests for Sirvis (SAP Commerce Cloud application)
- Develop BDDs and maintain the automation suite according to the project needs
- Monitor the automation pipeline on a daily basis
- Analyze any new issue or regression and address them to the developers
- Support developers in reproducing and localizing bugs detected with the Automation
- Bug lifecycle management (reporting, tracking, escalation, verification) by using tracking tools
- Foster a culture of Quality Assistance, where quality is a shared responsibility among all team members
- Contribute to documentation on automation testing practices, environments, and tools
- Work closely with the QA Lead to maintain up-to-date knowledge on quality processes and documentation Cooperate regularly with the BA, PO and Development team (DEVs and QAs) to clarify the expected QA deliverables
ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?
- University Degree in Computer science, engineering or a related field
- 2/3 years experience as an Automation engineer on high-availability web platforms
- Solid understanding of software testing and knowledge of quality assurance methodologies
- A disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance
- Expertise in Webdriver IO and Serenity/JS automation frameworks
- Intermediate to advanced experience in Behavior-driven Development using Cucumber
- Experience in designing, developing and executing reusable and maintainable automated scripts for API and UI testing
- Experience with Playwright is a advantage
- Programming skills in Java Script (mandatory) and Typescript (a plus)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with tools like Jenkins
- Experience in working in agile software development teams
- Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate efficiently with business stakeholders, developers and QAs (including external resources) ISTQB Certification is highly recommended
