SUMMARY

The Naval Medical Research Unit (NAMRU) is looking for professional support in the specialized areas of Administration and Supply/Warehouse Management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: University graduate is required, preferably B.Sc. in Commerce. Emphasis should be in the fields of Accounting and Administration with additional knowledge in computer skills.
• Experience: 20 years of experience in warehouse management. Management of medical and lab equipment and spare parts preferred.
• Certifications: Control of stock, Fleet Material Support Office, Retail Inventory Management Course and Transportation of hazardous material.
• Language: Fluent in English (Level IV) and Arabic is required.
• Advanced knowledge of Navy warehousing management system, computer and accounting skills to work with warehousing and accounting computer programs. Must have a full understanding of Navy Directives related to warehousing.
• Ability to plan and organize the work of the assigned warehouse organization.
• Ability to devise new methods. Knowledge of warehouse functions. Ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively consult with and coordinate the efforts of others.
• Must be able to make sound decisions and work effectively and efficiently under stressful conditions with minimal supervision. Organizational and leadership skills are highly required.
• Upper-level supervisory ability is a must. Must have the ability to train employees in the area of his/her responsibility.

THE DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

Advise, mentor, and coach Warehouse Manager in execution of their duties and responsibilities outlined below:

• Warehouse Management: Overseeing and directing the Unit's warehouse of expendable and nonexpendable supply items including medical and lab equipment, specialized tools, office supplies etc.
• Custodian for all controlled substances in the Logistics Branch.
• Supervising of receiving activities, storage, issuance, usage, record keeping, inventory control, procurement, replenishment, disposal activities, and financial management of all stocked expendable and nonexpendable lab and office property such as file cabinets, office chairs, and other office furniture and lab equipment.
• Custodian of all plant property in the Warehouse Division.
• Supervising of receiving activities.
• Assessment and updating procedures and methods of conducting activities, procedures, and methodologies.
• Training of warehouse personnel.
• Inventory Management. Completing inventory and drafting of reports to Supply Officer, such as “monthly issues”, “monthly 10% random sample inventory”, “discrepancy report”, and “annual 100% inventory”.
• Proper issuance and subsequent receipt, inspection and documentation, efficient and safe storage, of equipment and supplies.
• Planning and supervising the replenishment of stock levels
• Receiving all procurement requests for warehouse materials.
• Screening and grouping requests.
• Conducting changes in the replenishment plan.
• Managing and monitoring the authorized replenishment budget for stocked items.
• Supervising the review and audit of all expediting contractors' local vendors' invoices against airway bills, packing slips and vouchers for payment. Supervise all records required for proper management of the function.
• Supervising all outgoing shipments to different sites
• Reviewing and recommending policy procedural operations for all aspects of warehouse management, develop implement, and administrate any new warehouse management procedural changes.
• Overseeing and coordinating all aspects of warehouse management/functions.
