Advisor/Senior Advisor, Advanced Process Controls

AFRY’s Process Control team in Finland is growing and we are looking for Advisor/Senior Advisor to execute AFRY’s advanced process control projects and for developing solutions further.
Duties in the role:
- Design and commissioning of advanced process control projects in energy and process industry based on AFRYs patented Balance+ control concept
- Responsible of technical development for the Balance+ products
- Consultation and performing assessments for the automation, performance and energy efficiency of the client processes
- Developing and maintaining client relationships in projects
- Your role can be customized based on your experience

Process Control team is located mainly in our Tampere office, we have experts working also in Vantaa and in Bangkok Thailand. Team consists of good combination of senior and younger talents. We provide world leading process control technology, products and services for the energy and process industry. Continuous improvement for our products and solutions is in a key role in our business. At the moment we are focusing on using data analysing, machine learning and artificial intelligent tools together with our advanced process control solutions creating comprehensive solutions packages for the clients. We are working globally in interesting locations which makes our business and projects exciting.
Your preferable location is either Tampere or Vantaa, but location can also be every of our 18 offices in Finland. AFRY supports hybrid working model.
Qualifications
We are looking for a person who has experience from different phases from industrial automation and advanced process control projects and willingness to learn a new way of controlling power and heat production, district heat systems, using Balance+ control philosophy.
The successful candidate must fulfil at least the following requirements:
- Master or Bachelor of science technology degree
- More than 5 years of experience in working with energy and/or process industry sector and deep and wide understanding on automation and process data management solutions like APC, SPC or artificial intelligence and machine learning
- Understand power boilers, power and heat production and industrial processes, even though your main competence is in the automation.
- Experience in new technologies in energy or industrial process control and data management
- Track record of technical development
- Work experience in global context with multicultural teams spread across different time zones, but also experience in working with partners in the field of industrial automation
- Fluency in English language, other languages are an advantage
