• Develop and implement environmental monitoring and maintenance programs at closed mining sites.
• Lead safety development initiatives and provide safety training for contractors at post-closure sites.
• Proactively solve issues as they arise, ensuring they are completed without delays.
• Collect and document environmental and safety data, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
• Supervise contractors in after-closure projects, ensuring the highest standards of environmental and safety practices.
• Contribute to R&D projects related to the after-closure phase.
• Assist in developing environmental and safety management systems for closed mining operations.
• Participate in additional environmental projects.

• MSc or BSc in Environmental and Water Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in environmental, safety, water, and technical project management.
• Previous experience in the mining industry is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle critical or sensitive situations.
• A self-driven mindset with excellent teamwork capabilities.
• A detail-oriented and structured approach to work.
• A hands-on, solution-oriented attitude, always striving for improvement.
• A valid driver’s license.
