Role Overview: As a Field Service Engineer (FSE) at Beneq, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and upgrading of ALD tools at our customers' sites. Your work will primarily take place in laboratories or clean rooms across Europe, with occasional assignments in other regions of the world. Additionally, you will provide remote support to our customers as needed. This role involves extensive travel, with up to 150 days per year spent on customer sites. When not traveling, you will work from our Espoo office or remotely. You will be a part of our Life Cycle Services Team and report directly to the Field Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Commissioning: Perform on-site installation and commissioning of ALD tools at customer locations.
• Maintenance and Upgrades: Conduct regular maintenance visits and implement upgrade installations to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
• Remote Support: Provide various kinds of remote customer support to assist with troubleshooting and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Travel Requirements: Be prepared for extensive travel, up to 150 days per year, sometimes with short notice.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Life Cycle Services Team and communicate effectively with customers, partners, and other stakeholders.

Who You Are:

• Experienced: You have hands-on experience working with automated manufacturing or process equipment.
• Skilled: You have a strong background in service and assembly work, with excellent troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems. Experience with wafer handling systems is a plus.
• Adaptable: You are willing and able to travel globally, including unplanned trips.
• Educated: You hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree, preferably with a background in automation or electrical engineering. We also appreciate the completion of the SFS6002 electrical safety certification
• Knowledgeable: Experience in a clean room environment is preferred.
• Proficient: You are fluent in spoken and written English; other language skills are a plus.
• Problem Solver: You have strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
• Communicator: You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and can work efficiently under time pressure with minimal supervision.

Additional Assets:
While not required, experience with any of the following is highly appreciated:

• Thin Film Equipment: Familiarity with ALD, PVD, CVD, PECVD processes.
• Semiconductor Tools: Experience working with semiconductor cluster tools.
• Vacuum Technology: Knowledge of vacuum technology.
• Chemistry: Education or work experience in chemistry.
