Re Orbit is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Buyer to join our Procurement team at our HQ in Helsinki, Finland. We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual to support our Head of Procurement in scaling of our procurement organization.
Re Orbit is eager to meet a candidate who has strong communication and negotiation skills, a solid understanding of supply chain management and logistics, and a successful track record in similar environments.
The role is based in our office in Helsinki, and will work closely with our team in Argentina to support the successful delivery of our Small Sat Com projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement of satellite subsystems, components, materials, and services according to the established procurement plan. Support Head of Procurement in negotiating contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements. Participate in supplier audits.
- Support optimizing inventory levels to balance availability and cost.
- Coordinate the logistics of transporting satellite components and subsystems from suppliers to manufacturing facilities and eventually to launch sites.
- Continuously analyze the supply chain to identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or timelines.
- Work closely with the engineering team during satellite development to ensure on-time and on-quality delivery of required goods.
- Support the procurement of supplementary goods, software, IT materials, and services that are essential for bolstering Re Orbit's operational capabilities and project success
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- +8 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on high tech. Experience in Aerospace or New Space companies is appreciated.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices; including knowledge of general logistics practices and INCO terms
- Understanding of contractual law and ability to apply it.
- Proficient in supply chain management software and tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills are required. Finnish and/or Spanish language skills are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
