About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Global Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team in Helsinki, Finland. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with global trade regulations, supporting process adherence, and maintaining product quality. You will interpret and implement regulatory policies, oversee investigations and audits, and foster a culture of compliance across the organisation and its distributors.

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Global Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team in Helsinki, Finland. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with global trade regulations, supporting process adherence, and maintaining product quality. You will interpret and implement regulatory policies, oversee investigations and audits, and foster a culture of compliance across the organisation and its distributors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and interpret global trade regulations, ensuring organisational compliance with import/export laws.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements.
- Manage compliance reporting, conduct training, and promote awareness of trade compliance within the organisation.
- Conduct and monitor investigations and compliance audits, ensuring thorough documentation and tracking.
- Oversee compliance programmes and facilitate adherence to trade laws and regulations, including export licensing, trade sanctions, and embargoes.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure the integration of compliance measures in processes and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, International Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in import/export operations or global trade compliance roles.
- Proficient in analysing and interpreting global trade regulations, including EU customs and export control laws.
- Expertise in Dual Use regulations (eg, 428/2009), Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN), and the Harmonised Tariff Schedule (HTS).
- Hands-on experience with global trade management software platforms (ERP, Global Trade Management, Business Intelligence).
- Fluency in Finnish and English is required; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of export regulations related to denied party screening, export licensing, and trade sanctions.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and provide actionable insights.
- Certification or equivalent experience in compliance-related fields is advantageous.
