Oma Posti is Posti's application for packages and letters. With it, you stay on the map of where your packages are going, choose your budget for the amount of paper mail and pay bills conveniently. Significant development plans for the application have been created for coming years, and now Posti would need a few highly skilled and enthusiastic developers to join Posti’s extremely talented colleagues at their Tech Hub!

Our customer Posti is now looking for a back-end orientated Senior Software Developer to join their Oma Posti -team to work with amazing colleagues in cross-cultural surroundings, to work with top-notch technologies. The community includes over 200 technical colleagues, which are divided into smaller subteams based on their skills, interests and domain-knowledge. The task is to promote Posti’s digital innovations and to ensure that appropriate technological expertise and tailored solutions are always available for the needs of both internal and external customers. The role:

Posti is looking for someone with a strong background in developing high quality Full Stack / Back End to work with Java, Python & AWS in their Oma Posti -team. As a software developer, you will be working closely with product owners and domain owners, a step beyond a single team. Posti has millions of registered users and even more parcels, making the scale of the software both challenging and exciting. The complexity and the volume are creating an interesting challenge to anyone, as simultaneously you want to create a modern product for end customers that is easy to use.

You:

• + 6-years of relevant Full Stack and/or Back End experience
• You have proven technical expertise of Python, Java & AWS
• You are proficient in Postgre SQL and relational database management
• React & Type Script are seen as a valuable asset
• You have worked with distributed systems with complex products that have large numbers of users
• You are familiar with software architecture
• You are familiar with distributed design knowledge
• You have experience from the multi-cultural surroundings and teams
• You have software development life cycle experience, from requirements gathering to development, building, testing, deploying, security, and maintenance

Nice-to-have:

• You have domain knowledge of logistics or warehousing industry
• You are familiar with visual distribution
• Extra points for experience with any of the following technologies/concepts: Kafka, Graph QL, App Sync & Firebase
