We are looking for a Microbiologist to strengthen our IVD raw material R&D team in development of immunodiagnostic assay raw materials related to infectious diseases testing.
Your main responsibilities and tasks will be:

• Leading and participating in monoclonal antibody development projects from design to product launch. Steps include i.a.
• New product idea evaluation and project planning
• Target selection and design
• Immunization design, including vaccine development
• Antibody characterization
• Hands-on laboratory work, including handling of bacteria, viruses and yeasts
• Instructing laboratory personnel during the development process
• Reporting the project progress
• Participating in customer communication, generation of marketing materials etc. related to R&D projects
• Work location is in Finland (Espoo), France (Besancon) or USA (St Louis), and can be agreed with the person selected for the position. Some travelling and communication across continents are mandatory in this position.

Experience and skills required:

• MSc or Ph D degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related disciplines
• Expertise in immunodiagnostics and antibody development

• Experience in designing ELISA assays
• Experience with Immunofluorescence Microscopy

• Knowledge of quality systems, e.g. ISO 13485 and biosafety
• Ability and will to learn
• Curiosity and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English (Finnish and/or French beneficial)
• Excellent teamwork skills
