Research Scientist (Protein Sciences)

The Role
Our business is growing and to ensure that this growth continues further, we want you to strengthen our protein purification and analysis capabilities in R&D. Your main responsibility is to execute protein science related tasks related to recombinant proteins and enzyme analytics. In this role you work closely with the cross-functional project teams and key internal stakeholders. You will also collaborate with service partners, CROs and academia on your expertise areas. Successful candidates must have a strong background in biochemistry or bioengineering MSc. or Ph D with 3-5 years of industry / academic experience. Experience in purifying and analytical characterization recombinant proteins and enzymes is a must.

The position is permanent and located in Rajamäki, Finland.
About You
You have outstanding expertise in protein isolation and purification utilizing classical liquid chromatography methodologies. You are well-versed in protein characterization. You have experience in assay development, enzyme kinetics, and experimental design. It is a plus if you have experience in scale up of protein purification, biochemical and biophysical techniques to characterize protein function and/or protein-ligand interactions. Experience with additional analytical techniques like tandem liquid chromatography mass spectrometry is a plus. You have an independent working style with the ability to prioritize, while maintaining flexible on changing priorities. You are a reliable team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills. You are strong in evaluating data, reporting and presenting. Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
