The Position & Role Responsibilities:

The purpose of the role of a Research Chemist is to contribute to research and drug screening to support company’s drug development projects. The primary activities include but are not limited to the following:

• Work as hands-on chemist in a laboratory
  
• Develop and optimize synthesis methods for novel compounds
  

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Minimum of a Master of Science degree in Organic Chemistry
  
• Hands-on experience in synthetic organic chemistry
  
• Experience in analysis; TLC, NMR, HPLC, UPLC-MS
  
• Experience in Chem Office programs and databases, experience on Sci Finder/Reaxys searches
  
• Ability to follow instructions
  
• Flexibility with sudden changes in tasks and priorities
  
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Finnish and English
  
• Problems solving abilities
  
• Systematic and careful approach to synthesis and analysis
  
• Ability to operate as a team member
  
• Ability to analyze and report data
  
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt new information and methodologies
  
• Innovation in producing new knowledge
  
• Ability to engage in scientific thinking
