The purpose of this role is to develop best in class strategies and management of all Insights and Analysis activity on assigned clients, to manage and develop the team and serve as a point of escalation as needed.
As a Data Science Consultant, you will work closely with our clients’ most senior stakeholders to find best-in-class solutions for enabling data-driven marketing. Based on developed insights, you will, together with your team, advise the client to optimize their marketing activities. You will be at the center of the action when it comes to explaining outcomes (and caveats) to the business owners.
Data modeling and AI practices keep developing in the marketing and media sector. You will be part of growing the practice at dentsu. Together with a group of highly competent data professionals in Northern Europe, you will help apply new methods and techniques to answer marketing and communication questions. Think about use cases such as Marketing Mix Modelling, Attribution, Churn models, Customer Data Analytics & Segmentation, Content and Topic modelling, Recommendation Engines, and Predictive analytics enhanced with AI.
You will ensure that meaningful client value is delivered through a mix of best-practice solutions, skills, capabilities, and original thinking.

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced colleague with a strong background in a quantitative field to strengthen our team and help drive our marketing data science business further. Are you motivated by challenging our clients to make their data actionable on a strategic level by turning data into insights? We want to meet you!
As a Data Science Consultant, you will work closely with our clients’ most senior stakeholders to find best-in-class solutions for enabling data-driven marketing. Tasks include:
- Actively promote and increase penetration of Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) among our clientele through coordinated sales efforts.
- Expand our service offerings to include new solutions rooted in data, supporting dentsu’s strategic focus on Customer Experience (CX) consultancy.
- Lead the development of cutting-edge AI solutions in advertising, ensuring dentsu remains at the vanguard of modern marketing capabilities.
- Foster client relationships by being a trusted advisor who consistently delivers high-quality solutions.
- Act as a thought leader in the area of data science & AI for our clients.
- Build and maintain day-to-day relationships with key clients’ senior stakeholders.
- Act as a subject matter expert and lead consultant, particularly in the areas of Data Science & AI for our existing & future clients.
- Provide assistance & mentoring to project and/or other consultants in overcoming challenges and support them in driving the projects to completion.
Considerations for success in this role:
- Utilizing existing capabilities within dentsu to bolster data science adoption, including go-to-market materials and co-developing technical solutions.
- Identifying potential clients for projects in customer data analytics, developing & offering engagements for reference building.
- Initiating sales of Data Science & AI solutions using existing concepts enhanced with new capabilities. Collaborating with internal stakeholders across media, creative & CXM practices for solution refinement and client acquisition.
- Taking ownership and responsibility, and proactively seeking solutions.
- Language: Working proficiency in Finnish and English.
